What it covers
Legal liability for employee injuries/death from work accidents or occupational diseases under the Workmen's Compensation Act.
Scope of cover
- Medical expense reimbursement
- Salary compensation during sick leave
- Permanent disability compensation
- Death benefits and funeral expenses
Malaysian workers vs foreign workers
Malaysian workers are covered by SOCSO. For non-Malaysian workers, Workmen's Compensation is mandatory. Don't mix them up.
Exclusions
- Accidents outside working hours
- Injuries from alcohol or drug abuse
- Intentional self-harm

本地员工 vs 外籍员工
马来西亚员工由SOCSO覆盖。外籍员工必须投保劳工赔偿险。两者不可混淆。
不保事项
- 非工作时间或非工作相关的意外
- 因酗酒或吸毒导致的工伤
- 故意自残行为
